KEYNOTE SPEAKER Dr. Mohamad Sepehri Dean, School of Business and Public Administration and Professor of Strategic International Management University of the District of Columbia, DC Dr. Mohamad Sepehri is the Dean of the School of Business and Public Administration and professor of Strategic International Management at UDC. He has a unique combination of academic and business experience, with extensive background in strategic management/leadership and broad experience in international and global business operations. Dr. Sepehri has Triple Ph.D. in Management, Higher Education Administration, and Strategic International & Political Economy from Indiana University, Bloomington. Dr. Sepehri has numerous research and publications in professional and refereed journals and he is frequent and distinguished speaker at national as well as international forums. He has been acknowledged as “outstanding contributor” to the field and he has been credited for his contributions to several textbook editions. Dr. Mo has received numerous First-Place and Gold Awards for business plan, community service projects, partnership with business projects, state leadership, and etc. He has served on the Executive Board of the Academy of International Business (AIBSE) for twenty years and he is the treasurer of the organization. Dr. Sepehri has been listed in the Harvard Business who’s Who as a distinguished scholar in international business. He was inducted as AIBSE Fellow in 2014. Dr. Sepehri has over 35 years of experience in strategic planning and global competitive market analysis. He is a consultant and research analyst to business corporations. He has served as expert advisor and consultant to number of city, county, and state governments. He also served on the International Trade Committee of Jacksonville Chamber and the Trade Development Board. He was a board member of Global Jax (the International Visitors Corp. of Jacksonville) for six years.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER Dr. Maja Zelihic Program Chair, Master of Organizational Management (MAOM) Forbes School of Business at Ashford University, San Diego –California
Topic: Teaching the Needed Skills May not be Needed
Dr. Maja Zelihic is a Program Chair for the Masters of Organizational Management, in the Forbes School of Business at Ashford University. She has a Ph.D. in General Business with an emphasis in Organizational Management. In addition to being a Program Chair in the MAOM program, Dr. Zelihic is a Chair of Professional Development and Scholarship committee at Ashford University, which is a committee that recommends professional development content and provides recommendations concerning faculty research. She is a Communication Director of ABSEL (Association for Business Simulation & Experiential Learning). Dr. Zelihic has published more than 20 articles in various refereed journals, such as, the Springer’s Quality and Quantity Journal, Life Science journal, Journal of American Business Review, Journal of Strategic and International Studies, Global Business and International Management International Journal. She an editorial advisory board member of The Journal of Global Business Management and a peer reviewer at the University of New Mexico Mentoring Institute and Journal for Excellence in Business Education. Dr. Zelihic presented at the International Symposium of the New Technologies in Sports, delivering a lecture on sports management in April, 2011 in Sarajevo, Bosnia; 2015 IX International GUIDE Conference -Buenos Aires, Argentina; 2015 Multidisciplinary Academic Conference, Orlando, Florida; and she is a three time attendee and presenter at the Finance, Economics, MIS, & Global Business Research Conference, Miami, Florida. Dr. Zelihic presented at the XI International GUIDE Conference and IX International EdTech IKASNABAR Congress in Madrid, Spain in 2016. Some of her academic activities, aside from instruction, include serving as a Doctoral Chair, co-facilitation of faculty certification and mentorship programs, innovative technology development and application, course development, lecture taping, test bank creation, and newsletter committee forces. Dr. Zelihic enjoys doing research, specifically in the fields of online learning, biculturalism, marketing, conflict negotiation, business ethics, and management. In the last few years, Dr. Zelihic teaches a whole range of courses, some of which are, The Functions of Modern Management, Business Ethics and Responsibility, Organizational Culture, Organizational Change, Operations Management, Operations Strategy, Business Research and Quantitative Methods for Decision-Making. She is also a host of bi-weekly research Think Tanks which attract a large body of Ashford faculty across several different colleges, including many associate faculty members that gather to become involved in developing research collaboration, sharing best teaching practices, and enhancing a sense of faculty community in an online setting. Dr. Zelihic is the recipient of Western International University Excellence Award for Contributions to Faculty Peer Development, two-time University of Phoenix Faculty Scholarship award, recognized as one of the top 10 Forbes School of Business faculty members in 2013, recipient of the University Fellows grants award in 2014 (as part of a team of four), and again the recipient of the University Fellows Grant award in 2016 as the principal investigator.

Topic: International Tax Policy & Enforcement
Dr. Stephen Gara is the Director of the School of Accounting and Associate Professor of Accounting at Drake University. He received his BS from Syracuse University, JD from Southern Methodist University, LLM from Georgetown University and a PhD from the University of Memphis. Prior to joining Drake University in 2005, Dr. Gara taught at Long Island University-CW Post and Old Dominion University.
Dr. Gara’s research interests include taxation, financial reporting and accounting education. He research has appeared in over 25 national and international journals and conferences, including Advances in Taxation, Advances in Accounting Education, CPA Journal, Review of Quantitative Finance and Accounting, and Education Finance and Policy. Additionally, Dr. Gara is both a Certified Public Accountant and licensed attorney. Prior to entering academia, Dr. Gara was a tax attorney in Washington, DC. He is a member of the American Accounting Association, American Taxation Association, Academy of Legal Studies in Business, and Financial Executives International.

Dr.Veronica Hampson is a Lecturer in Accounting at the University of Southern Queensland, Toowoomba, Queensland. She received a B. Com from the University of Queensland (1980), Diploma of Adult & Vocational Education from Griffith University, Queensland (1991), M. Fin Mgt from Central Queensland University (1996) and Ph.D. from University of Southern Queensland (2009).
Dr Hampson has presented papers nationally and internationally and published in the field of performance measurement and cost management. Dr. Hampson has spent many years working in both the private and public sectors in senior executive positions. Her private sector experience includes executive financial management in the manufacturing industry. In the public sector, her experience includes the provision of performance measurement advice to government agencies, as well as, the provision of strategic management advice on the implementation of SAP R/3 throughout the state public service.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER Dr. Charles Salter Schreiner University, Kerrville, TX
Topic: The Ethics of Leadership
Dr. Charles R. Salter is an author and Chair of the Department of Business Administration at Schreiner University in Kerrville, Texas. He also teaches and serves on dissertation committees in the Doctorate of Leadership Studies for Our Lady of the Lake University San Antonio. He has held various community, academic and corporate leadership positions specializing in leadership and finance. As a former city councilman of The Woodlands, Texas, Executive for Baker Hughes, Inc., President of 3 his own entrepreneurial endeavors, and President and Elder in the Lutheran Church Charles brings a unique perspective to his study and publications on the various forms of leadership.
Dr. Salter holds a Bachelor of Journalism from the University of Georgia, a Masters of Business Administration concentration in Management and Finance from University of Houston, and a Doctorate of Philosophy from Our Lady of the Lake University San Antonio. A licensed Texas Real Estate Broker and former Financial Investment Advisor (IA), holding Series 6, 63, & 65 securities licenses his professional consulting experience has been eclectic having consulted major utility companies, universities, symphony orchestras, medical doctors, and school districts on communication and leadership.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER Dr. Bahram Alidaee University of Mississippi
Dr. Bahram Alidaee is a professor of operations and supply chain management in the Marketing Department at the Business School of Administration, the University of Mississippi. He joined the University of Mississippi in 1995. From 1988 to 1995, he was at the Mathematical Sciences Department, the West Texas A&M University. Dr. Alidaee received the B.S. degree from the University of Tehran, Iran, the M.B.A. degree from the University of North Texas and the Ph.D. degree in 1988 from the University of Texas at Arlington.
Dr. Alidaee’s main research interests include optimization in variety of real applications including supply chain and logistics management, graph optimization, complex systems, game theory and cost allocations. He has published in all major operations, management science, operations research journals. He is member of INFORMS, DSI, POMS, APICS, ISM, CSCMP, and IEEE Computer Society.
